Wilma Byrd Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that a true Woman of God, a Wife of Great Strength, a Mom who was always there to lend a shoulder, and a Beloved Grandmama has gone to be with our Savior. Oh, what a bash the heavenly hosts are having right this very moment! Our misfortune was her good fortune, as she is now celebrating in the presence of our Heavenly Father, free from all forms of suffering and care.
After a lengthy battle with a number of different health issues, Reverend Wilma Byrd passed away on Thursday morning. We would like to thank you for praying for Pastors Randy and Mary, as well as for all of their extended family and friends. Scriptures in Matthew 6:20-21. “But store up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither rust nor moth can destroy them and where thieves cannot break in and steal them. 21 Because wherever you put your most valued possessions, your heart will also be there.”
This remarkable person served for many years as a pastor’s wife, then as a pastor herself, and later as a counselor to a great number of people. What a priceless treasure she forwarded on. You only needed to have a brief conversation with her to realize that seeing people’s lives transformed by God was her greatest passion. There is no way to know how many people greeted her and expressed gratitude to her for everything she had sown into their lives. What an absolutely obedient Servant of God you are. We will keep everyone apprised of the situation regarding the arrangements as soon as we are able to, but in the meantime, we ask for prayers for the family.
