Sylvia Rice Death, Obituary – At 8:25 o’clock in the evening on Sunday, February 5, 2023, Sylvia C. Rice, who had been a resident of Heritage Health in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, but who was originally from Columbus, passed away at her home in Mt. Sterling. Sylvia C. Rice had been a resident at Heritage Health since moving to Mt. Sterling from Columbus. She was originally from Columbus. Since arriving to Mt. Sterling from Columbus, Sylvia C. Rice had been a resident at Heritage Health.

It was discovered that her hometown was Columbus. Sylvia C. Rice called the Heritage Health facility in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, her home for the years leading up to her dying. It turned out that Columbus was where she was born and raised.On July 13, 1936, she was born in the community of Brewer, which is situated inside the state of Maine, to parents who went by the names Roland Booker and Camalita Sanbond Booker.

The child that Roland and Camalita had together was given the name Sylvia when she was born. Junior R. Rice was formally referred to as her husband when the couple exchanged their vows during the wedding that took place on March 10, 1955 in Brewer, Maine. The ceremony was the official beginning of their marriage. On the same date that she went away in September 2017, he passed away three days earlier, on September 3. The 3rd of September was the day she passed away.

Mrs. Rice ultimately settled on the idea of retiring from her position as a certified nursing assistant at the North Adams Home, where she had been employed for a significant amount of time prior to making the decision to do so. All of her children, including Junita Rae Jones (Casey) of Redding, California, Janella Rose Johnson (Robert) of Hudson, Wisconsin, John Roland Rice of Mossyrock, Washington, Jay Richard Rice of New Gloucester.

Maine, and JoEll Roxann Rice of Columbus, Ohio; a number of grandchildren; and her siblings, Roland Booker Jr., Adella Neil, Isabelle Martin, and Charles Booker; all of these people are still alive today. Her children Elisabeth, Charlene, and Gwendolyn, as well as her parents and husband, all passed away before she did. Her parents were also deceased. Gwendolyn was the lone surviving member of her family.

Her mother and father were no longer with her. Both of them had passed away. Despite all of her efforts, she was not successful in outliving any of them. On the afternoon of Friday, February 10, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services are going to take place at the mausoleum that is situated within Quincy Memorial Park. The location of the mausoleum is part of the park.
