Stephen Truax Obituary, Death – We are left with no choice but to share the sad news that Mr. Stephen Truax, who worked as the Welding Coordinator at the Advanced Technology Center, has passed away. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
Everyone who was around Mr. Truax, including faculty, staff, counselors, and most importantly, his students, was greeted with a friendly smile whenever they saw him. This included his students, who were the most important of all. He took great pleasure in striking up conversations with each and every employee. He was well-known for his ability to make people laugh on a daily basis, whether they were gathered together or listening to him lecture.
Everything made him burst out in hysterical laughter. Mr. Truax attended EPCC in the past and ultimately graduated from the college’s Welding program, for which he received a certificate of completion. Mr. Truax previously held a job in the welding industry before transitioning into his current roles as a teacher and coordinator. Due to the breadth and depth of his professional experience, he was warmly received into the EPCC family from the moment he joined.
He was always willing to teach all of his students everything that he knew, and he did this by either letting them learn through hands-on experience or by having them read and write. The things that will be most memorable about Mr. Truax are going to be things like his smile, his boundless energy, the constant acts of kindness and generosity he exhibited, and the countless hours of hard labor he put in. During this difficult time, we will continue to keep his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.
