Orion Samorano Car Accident – An accident involving a woman who was 19 years old took place early on Friday morning in Orion. The incident took place there. She was transported to the hospital because her injuries were so severe that it was feared that her life could be in danger. An collision was reported on December 24 at approximately 7:06 a.m., and the Illinois State Police were dispatched to the scene. The accident occurred in Orion, Henry County, where a red 2013 Ford Truck was traveling northbound on East 350th Street, just south of 1500th Avenue.
A second vehicle and the truck were engaged in the accident that occurred. The police report states that the vehicle veered off the roadway, rolled many times, and eventually crashed into a telephone pole after it had already hit with another object. The passenger was forced to exit the vehicle since the driver did not intend to seek medical attention for himself and did not want to accompany the passenger.
The passenger, who was later determined to be a 19-year-old female from Washington, Iowa, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that were deemed to be potentially fatal. The Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit (TCRU) of the State Police is continuing to look into the incident as part of its investigation. At this time, there are no plans to release any additional information to the general public.
The driver, identified as James J. Schnerre, 22, from Orion, was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, and Driving While License Suspended, according to a release from the State Police. Schnerre’s license was suspended for driving while under the influence of alcohol and illegally transporting alcohol. The charge of Driving While License Suspended is in addition to each and every one of these additional charges. The study is proceeding at this point in time even further.
