Nicholas Martin Death, Obituary – Nicholas Martin, who was born in Scranton, was identified as the deceased person that the Lackawant to County Coroner Tim Rowland found earlier this month hidden in an apartment in Pine Brook. Martin was found by Rowland, who works for the Lackawant to County Coroner’s Office. At the address 851 Capouse Avenue, a tarp was spread out over Martin, who was 52 years old at the time.

Paul Rowe, the occupant of the apartment, was arrested on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and abusing a corpse for allegedly harboring Martin’s body for a period of time that is estimated to be a few weeks. The duration of this alleged harboring of Martin’s body by Paul Rowe is estimated to be a few weeks. Paul Rowe was taken into custody on the grounds that he allegedly concealed Martin’s body for an extended period of time.

The Scranton police conducted a search of Rowe’s apartment on February 3 in response to a tip received the previous day that someone may have been concealing a dead body there. The tip suggested that Rowe’s apartment may have been used to hide a body. Rowe did not open the door for the investigators, but he did confess to the police that he was keeping drugs inside the residence; this is what led to them carrying out the search. Rowe did not open the door for the investigators.

Martin’s presence at that particular location was never explained, and there was never any indication as to why he was there. According to statements made by Captain Dennis Lukasewicz of the Police Department, the investigation into the incident is still ongoing within the department.
