Michael DeSimone Death, Obituary – The passing of Michael “Skip” DeSimone, who was a close friend to many people in our community, has caused everyone to be in a state of profound mourning today. An active member of the community who is currently serving as a Borough Councilman and has spent his entire adult life serving as a volunteer with the Smithton Fire Department as a member of the Smithton Volunteer Fire Department.
During this trying time, we want the DeSimone family to know that we are thinking of them and sending our condolences. Everyone who knew him will mourn his passing deeply. Sadly missed along the course of life’s journey, gently remembered each and every day, Although you are not physically present to take part in our lives anymore, you will never be forgotten in our minds or in our hearts.
His children, Michael DeSimone Jr. (Pearl) and Dorothy Dale, who passed away, hold a special place in his heart. In addition, he is the doting grandfather of Michael, who is married to Christina, Bethany, Dustin, who is married to Brittani, Lauren, and Gregory. He is also the doting great-grandfather of Emily, Michael, Vienna, Ava, and Adam. Dorothy Dale had passed away before him.
He is survived by his wife and children, as well as by his brother Anthony DeSimone and a sizable number of nieces and nephews. His wife and children were his only surviving relatives. His partner of 35 years and soul mate, Dorothy Viggiano, had already passed away before he did. Over the course of more than 45 years, “Micky,” as the majority of people knew him, was the owner and operator of DeSimone Fuel. There, he served a significant number of people who lived in Gibbstown and the areas that surrounded it.
