Margaret Dan’L Peacock Hyers Obituary, Death – We ask that you join us in praying for the Hyers family as they battle to come to grips with the loss of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Mrs., who resided in Pierce County and was 84 years old at the time of her passing, passed away at her home in the morning of Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Although she began her life on April 27, 1938 in Blackshear, Georgia, she remained in Pierce County throughout the entirety of her life. Mrs. Margaret received her diploma from Blackshear High School in 1955 and subsequently joined the Order of the Eastern Star after completing her education. She had a job that she did around the house and found a lot of fulfillment in being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Margaret was a dedicated member of the Beulah Baptist Church.

She also took great delight in the culinary arts and in spending time with her personal and extended families, especially those who were a part of the church. She devoted the most of her adult life to serving as a Sunday School instructor at Beulah Baptist Church, where she shared the good news of Jesus and the love that he has for all of humanity. She possessed a robust faith that served as an illustration for a great number of people.
Both of her parents, Hubert Daniel Peacock and Martha Mattie Smith Peacock, had passed away prior to her birth. She was their daughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both her sister Vera Coleman and her husband Chester Hyers. Her parents and sister both passed away before she did. Her survivors include her daughter Beth Hyers Scott, who resides in Fernandina Beach, Florida; her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Bethany Hyers, who reside in Blackshear; her sister Diane Raulerson, who resides in Patterson; her brother Joe Peacock, who resides in Blackshear; her four grandchildren, Logan (Hannah) Scott, Landon Scott, Cheston (Lauren) Hyers, and James David Hyers; her five great grandchildren, Scarlet Mrs. Margaret’s funeral will be place at the Beulah Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon, February 25, 2023, at two o’clock, with Rev. Matt Tuttle and Rev. Earl Tillman officiating. The date and time of the event are still to be determined.
