Linda Knight Obituary Death – With a heavy heart and a sense of profound regret, we are passing along the news of the passing of Mrs. Linda Knight Knight (Miss Baker), a former school administrator, on Wednesday, February 15. Her passing occurred on February 15. On Wednesday, Mrs. Knight sadly left this world.
In 1964, Miss Mayhew put Linda to work as a teacher at the institution she supervised. Linda was first appointed to serve as one of the school’s co-principals in the year 1980. Eight years later, she was given sole administrative authority over the institution. A considerable number of her pupils went on to seek professions in dance and the performing arts as performers, instructors, and educators after attending her school, which continued to grow under her guidance.
She was a fervent supporter of the ISTD Classical Greek Dance and National faculties, and she frequently entered her students into their contests, in which they were able to achieve a great deal of success because to her guidance. Not only did her students perform well in the All England Dance Competition, but many of her choreographies also won spots in the finals, which elevated her to the status of a major competitor herself.
In recognition of all of her hard work and success in the field of dance, the National Faculty of the ISTD presented her with the Isobel Haxell cup in 2019. What Linda leaves behind is a legacy that is abundant in memories that we will always hold dear to our hearts. From the moment I was a child until I reached adulthood, she was there for me as a constant supporter and a source of inspiration throughout my entire life.
She was a significant source of motivation for me. She was continuously pleasant and committed, and she continued to monitor the progress of the school and the pupils who attended there with a great degree of care, continually inquiring about ‘her daughters.’ Our deepest condolences go out to her devoted husband John, as well as to Robert and Caroline, Juliet and Ian, and Ruth, Mia, Eleanor, and Emily. Also included in our thoughts are Robert and Caroline’s children. She took great pride in her roles as a wife, mother, and grandma.
