Kameron Casto Obituary, Death – One person was killed and three people were hurt in an accident involving a single vehicle that happened on Sunday night in Carroll County. Around 5:30 p.m., Carroll County E911 received a call from a caller reporting a collision.
Near the Cutler Township, on CR 500 South, west of CR 50 East, a collision took place. Three injured persons had exited the car and were standing nearby when emergency personnel arrived, they discovered. The vehicle, a white 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck, still had a fourth occupant inside.
At the site, it was discovered that Kameron Casto, a passenger in the car, had died. He was 30 years old and from Bringhurst. The driver was identified as 25-year-old Cutler resident Devin Taber. Taber is still receiving treatment at the hospital, and it is unclear how he is doing right now.
Christa Marvin, a 21-year-old patient, is still receiving care in a Fort Wayne hospital at this moment. The 23-year-old patient Kaleb Taber has been let out from the hospital. Marvin and Kalen Taber were both passengers in the same vehicle.
Witnesses said they saw the truck speeding westbound on CR 500 South from the vicinity of 50 East when they were at the accident scene. The truck departed the north side of CR 500 South and slammed into a tree line for an unexplained reason, causing at least one person to be ejected from the vehicle. The truck veered off the north side of the road as a result of the collision.
According to the authorities, drinking may have contributed to the crash. A number of organizations are helping with the investigation, including Carroll County E911, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the Flora Police Department, the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team, the Cutler Fire Department, the Flora Fire Department, Carroll County EMS, Carroll County EMA, Lutheran Air Ambulance, and the Carroll County Coroner’s Office.
