John Viera Obituary, US Massachusetts, John Viera has Died

John Viera Obituary, Death – John Viera, Jr., age 65, of East Falmouth, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He had been battling a disease for a significant amount of time prior to his passing. Since the beginning of the 1980s, he has been wedded to Cecelia M. (Goulart) Viera, and the couple currently has two children together.

Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts is where he was born and raised. His parents, John and Helen May (Fauteux) Viera, both passed away before he was born. He was their son. After relocating to Falmouth, John spent the next 41 years of his career working as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Foreman for the Department of Public Works of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He eventually took early retirement in the year 2001. John’s most recent job was with the Department of Public Works in Oak Bluffs, where he worked for many years.

Mr. Viera put in a total of fifteen years of service to the Town of Falmouth in the capacity of Special Police Officer. In addition to that, for a number of years he served as a coach for the Little League Baseball team representing the town of Falmouth. Some of his favorite people to spend time with were his grandchildren, including Justin, Jason, Jessica, MacKenzie, Devin, Jordan, John, and Melyssa. Some of his other favorite individuals included John. He had a passion for fishing and collecting shells.

In addition to his wife and his grandchildren, he is survived by his two sons, John L. Viera of East Falmouth and Michael Viera of Marstons Mills, as well as his four daughters, Pamela Viera of East Falmouth, Cheryl Peterson of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Linda Willis of Mashpee, and Sandra Silva of New Bedford. His wife and his grandchildren are also among those who carry on his legacy.
