John Trant Obituary, Former President Of East Allington Utd FC Has Passed Away

John Trant Obituary, Death – The passing of JOHN TRANT, our President and a Club Stalwart, occurred yesterday, on his 83rd birthday. It is with great sadness and regret that we share the news of his passing with you. First and foremost, we would like to express our condolences to his family and friends and let them know that all of our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. For over sixty years, John was actively involved with and had some sort of connection to East Allington United FC.

In his playing days, he was known for his tough tackling and no-nonsense defense, and he has served as the president of our club for the past 25 years and more. Our appreciation for all of the hard work, support, financial backing, and effort that he has put in over the years to ensure that our club has been able to continue operating cannot be adequately expressed in words. His passing will leave a significant hole at our club because he was the kindest and funniest person you could ever hope to meet.

He always had a wry grin on his face and a good joke to share with others. We have memories of him being an ardent supporter of the club, and we can still see him following the opposing linesman up and down the line while wearing his cherished East Allington Red and Black jacket. Even up until a few weeks ago, he never stopped going up to the arena to cheer on the home team of whichever sport was being played.

We are aware of how happy you were as a result of the trophies that the club has won and how proud you were of the accomplishments of the club. God rest your soul, John; you will be greatly missed. We are going to inquire about the possibility of observing a moment of silence during this weekend’s games for both of our teams.
