Jim Nunn Obituary, Death – James Edward Nunn, age 23, from Hanover, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 after a lengthy battle against his sickness. He is now in the eternal care of God. He was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania on December 29th, 1999; his father’s name was James E. Smith, and his mother’s name was Janet G. Nunn, (Smith) Smith.

Nobody could ever expect to have a son who is more generous than this one is. He is the kindest son anyone could ever have. For his whole life, James was actively involved in the Gettysburg Church of Christ in various capacities. Video games, laser tag, and YU-GI-OH! were among of his favorite things to do in his spare time. He also competed in airsoft skirmishes and video game tournaments.

His favorite things in life were Chinese food, quality time with his family and friends, and hanging out at the local Chinese restaurant. Everyone who knew James adored him because he exuded such a great energy, had such a good attitude, and had a personality that could be described as a little bit wicked. In terms of his capacity for kindness, caring, and compassion, he was significantly more mature than his years would indicate.

Throughout his brief time on earth, he was a singular spirit who made an indelible mark on the lives of a great number of others. Even when things were at their absolute worst for him, he was able to have that contagious smile on his face at all times. James is survived by his older brother, Jack D. Nunn (Julia), of Topeka, Kansas; his maternal grandmother Mary B. Smith of Eden, North Carolina; his paternal grandmother Bonnie Nunn of Eden, North Carolina; and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his parents, James is survived by his older brother, Jack D. Nunn (Julia), of Topeka, Kansas; his paternal grandmother Bonnie Nunn of Eden, North Both James’ maternal grandpa William E. Smith of Eden, North Carolina, and his paternal grandfather Jack D. Nunn of Eden, North Carolina, passed away before him. James was named after both of his grandfathers.
