Janet Reyes Obituary, Janet Reyes Has Died - Death

Janet Reyes Death, Obituary –  Janet R. Reyes passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 81, while she was resting comfortably and soundly asleep.
Janet was a wonderful person who was also a wonderful mother. She was kind and compassionate. Her mother, Athea (Webb), and her father, Roy E. Van Vleet, are both natives of Battle Creek, Michigan, and it is there that she was raised by both of them.

After she had finished her schooling, she settled on the idea of marrying Antonio (Tony) Reyes, the boy she had a crush on when they were younger. She devoted her life to being a mother to her two children and staying at home rather than working outside the home at any point in her life; she never held a job outside the home. Along with watching Food Network and HGTV, reading was another one of her favorite hobbies to do in her spare time.

Janet had a ravenous appetite, and some of her all-time favorite foods were shrimp, chicken wings, and Mexican cuisine. Nothing made her happier than when she could gather her grandsons around the television to watch football and cheer on her two favorite teams, the Chicago Bears and the Michigan Wolverines. As she got ready to watch the upcoming football week, she and her son Gilbert would have frequent conversations about the statistics of the game.

The entirety of her family will miss her greatly because she looked forward to spending time with David, her son-in-law, doing things like watching scary movies and FOX news together. Her beloved husband Antonio (Tony) Reyes, her doting parents Athea and Roy Van Vleet, and a significant number of her siblings all preceded her in death. Her parents were predeceased by a large number of her siblings.

She is survived by her son Gilbert Reyes of Corpus Christi, her daughter Judy (Dave) Hallett of Waverly, New York, as well as her grandsons John and David Hallett of Waverly, New York. In addition, she is survived by her grandsons John and David Hallett of Waverly, New York.
