It was well known that Jane Hutton Cubitt had a smile that was contagious and that she had the ability to make those around her feel better. She was a brave woman who encouraged us with her strength, showered us with limitless love, listened to us with compassion, provided us with comfort, looked deeply into our eyes and saw the best in us, and brought happiness and laughter into our lives.
She was a remarkable person. In our thoughts and hearts, she will live on in perpetuity and for all time. Jane was adamant that she would not let the illness that took her life far too soon after it could have been saved define who she was. She fought it every step of the way, infuriated by how quickly it robbed her of the ability to fully participate in conversation, as well as her physical strength and mobility.
