Fred Sutter Dearth, Obituary – It was announced earlier today that Fred Sutter had passed away. Please join us in praying for Terry and the rest of his family as they go through this trying time. They need our support more than ever. The specifics of the plan have not been ironed out just yet, but as soon as they are, we will post them on this page.
In lieu of sending flowers, individuals who desire to pay their respects to the deceased are asked to consider making a contribution to the Central India Christian Mission. Janice Bartell, the woman who would become Mick’s lifelong companion and love, was introduced to him in 1947 at a dance that was hosted in a one-room school building located on Bear Creek Road. After that, on March 27, 1948, they got married at the home of Jan’s parents in Inwood.
The ceremony took place there. They made the decision not to have children in order to devote their time and energy to travelling the world, but they were quite close with their 19 nieces and nephews. Mick and Jan were both devoted fans of automobiles and active participants in vintage automobile groups. They used to have a great time taking their friends on road trips in their classic cars.
They visited just about every city and town in the United States and Canada on their travels. They also took pleasure in travelling to new places, having new experiences, and making memories and friends that would be with them for the rest of their lives. Everyone who had a close relationship with Mick was aware that he adhered to the philosophy “Work hard, play hard” in his daily life, and this was a quality that he possessed that was admired by others.
