Elsie Fontaine Death, Obituary – It is with deep regret that we have to let you know that Elsie Fontaine has passed away. She was well-liked and respected by everyone in our neighborhood. Her leaving has created a tremendous emptiness in our lives (84 Years old). The exhibition will be open for viewings on the 25th of February, which has been set aside for this purpose. Sending flowers or leaving messages of condolence on her memorial page are both appropriate ways to show respect for her.

On January 29, 2023, Elsie (Knowles) Fontaine passed away. She was a resident of Cornwall, Ontario. It is with a heavy heart that we have to break the news to you that she has passed away.
She was 84 years old at that point in her life. We want the family and friends of Elsie to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time together. Before she was born, all of her ancestors, including her great-grandparents Frank and Emily Knowles, her parents Helen Knowles and Charles Knowles, and her brother, also named Charles Knowles, had already passed away (Donna). She is survived by her spouse, Jean-Gilles “John” Fontaine; her sons, Mark Fontaine (wife Ekaterina Kondratyeva) of Pointe Claire and Derek Fontaine (wife Marylene Marande) of Otterburn Park; and her grandchildren, Shawn, Alex, Sophia, Philippe, Molly, and David.
She is also survived by her son-in-law, Derek Fontaine (wife Marylene Marande). Derek Fontaine, who was her son, passed away before she did. She is also survived by her children and, in addition to them, her parents. She is also survived by a sizeable group of friends and family members drawn from the wider circle of people she had previously known.
On the Saturday, February 25th, 2023, beginning at 11:00 AM, there will be a visitation conducted at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes in Cornwall. Cornwall is home to the funeral houses and crematoriums (20 Seventh St W, Cornwall, ON K6J2X7). A memorial service will be held at the same location at one o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The date and time of the service have not yet been determined. This date and time may be adjusted without prior notice.
