David Cosgrove Obituary, Death – David Adams Cosgrove, who was 73 years old when he passed away on February 17, 2023, in his house in Waterville, did not suffer a painful death. David Cosgrove’s birth took place in Waterville, Maine, and his parents were Robert and Marjorie. He received his diploma from Lawrence High School in Fairfield, Maine, and his business degree from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. Both schools are located in the state of Maine.
He enjoyed his time at Nichols because it was there that he made so many friends that would remain in his life forever. David and Marilyn Fitzpatrick got married not long after David graduated from college, and this May will mark the couple’s golden wedding anniversary. In 1971, David received his real estate license from the state of Maine, and the following year he started working for the family business.
The Cosgrove Agency, where he sold real estate and insurance with Marilyn for the next 35 years. After selling the Cosgrove Agency in 2015, David went on to work for GHM Insurance and then sold real estate for the Coldwell Banker Plourde Real Estate Agency up until the point where he retired. David was well-respected in the Waterville community, and he took great pride in his involvement there. He was a member of the Waterville Lions Club, the Maine Housing Authority, and the Kennebec Savings Bank board of directors. In addition, he was a Corporator at the Kennebec Savings Bank. He spent many years as a member of the Waterville Country Club, where he delighted in playing golf and socializing with the people he cherished the most in his life.
