Charles Herring Obituary, Death – The investigators believe that a piece of debris that had fallen from a tree and struck the police officer when he was riding his police motorcycle on Thursday caused the officer’s death. The officer had been on duty in Pembroke Pines, Florida. According to a post that the Pembroke Pines Police Department published on Facebook, the incident took place just before 11:30 a.m. at the junction of Northwest 184 Avenue and Sheridan Street.

Officer Charles Herring was on duty at the time of the incident and was present when it took place. When Herring was allegedly struck by a piece of debris that had fallen from a tree while he was riding the motorcycle that had been provided to him by the department, the police say that he was operating the motorcycle. Because of this, Herring was unable to maintain control of the motorcycle. According to the statement that was distributed by the police department, Officer Herring did not recover from his injuries and consequently passed away. This occurred despite the best efforts of his fellow officers and the emergency medical experts.

In the year 2001, Herring joined the Pembroke Pines Police Department after having previously served for a period of time in the armed forces. Before that, he served as a police officer in the city of Starke, which is found in the state of Florida, for a period of three years. Officer Charles Herring gave his life while doing what he loved most – helping people and keeping them safe from harm. This was the ultimate sacrifice that he made. According to the statement made by the department, “He will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.”
