Brice Burbank Obituary, Death – Brice Burbank, passed away on January 2, 2023, to pass away at home in Chicago, Illinois, where he was surrounded by his family. His parents, William H. and Mary L. Brice, both died before he did. Being the first member of his immediate family to attend college, Roger went on to excel in both his academic career and his career as a labor and employment lawyer. Also, he was the first member of his immediate family to attend college.
He received the summa cum laude from DePaul University in 1970, when he also served as the student body president. The University of Chicago Law Review employed him as an Associate Editor as well (Juris Doctor, 1973). The states of Illinois, Iowa, the United States District Court, the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court all granted Roger permission to practice law. Roger remained dedicated to assisting young people overcome obstacles in the same way that he had been assisted in the past throughout his whole life.
In the same manner that others had assisted him, he did this. This was made possible by his more than 20 years of board involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and his pro bono legal services to the organization. Roger leaves behind his wife Carol Coleman Brice, brother Bill Brice (Michelle DeSanti), and sister Kathy J. Kaberline, all of whom will cherish their memories of him and remember him with affection (the late Albert).
He is survived by his five grandkids in addition to his three children Caitlin (Justin Maresh), Coleman (Sara Rashid), and Emily (Andrew Stergachis). Emily was wed to Andrew Stergachis, Coleman was wed to Sara Rashid, and Caitlin was wed to Justin Maresh. His wife Carol Coleman Brice is remembered and loved with great fondness by his brother Bill Brice. The Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options, located at 3918 W.
