Barbara Laney Obituary, It is with great regret that I must be the one to break the news to you all, but our dear friend Barbara Laney passed away early this morning. I’m sorry to be the one to break the news to you, but it’s the truth. I beg you to please accept my condolences for your loss. She stood out as a remarkable member of the community and the contributions she made.
The love and support shown to her family by Barbara’s pickleball family has helped them get through this challenging time, and her family is very grateful to Barbara’s pickleball family for that. Their gratitude is indescribable and cannot be adequately expressed through words. Because Barbara was willing to let Royal tell us about her illness, we were able to express to her how much we cared about her and how much it affected us before she passed away.
We were also able to tell her how much we loved her. A fortunate outcome actually came about as a result of Barbara’s untimely death. I owe Barbara my eternal gratitude for granting Royal permission to pursue this particular course of action because it was her idea. I will be thankful to her for the rest of my life. The way that she smiled constantly reminded me of the Mona Lisa, and I will never be able to shake the mental image of that painting.
There is not a shred of doubt in any one of our minds that Barb will be playing pickleball in the afterlife, provided that there is even the remotest chance that such a sport could even be played.
