Ann Tower Obituary, Death – On February 11, 2023, Anne Marie Tower, who was 63 years old and from Longmeadow, passed away. Her mother, Loys Center (Dolan), and her late father, Arthur “Gary” Center, welcomed her into the world on May 12, 1957, in the city of Springfield. She received her high school diploma from Cathedral in Springfield and then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Elms College. She is a lifelong resident of Springfield.
After that, she attended Western New England College to earn her Master of Business Administration degree. She worked as an Inspector at the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission for a number of years, during which time she developed a large number of friends throughout the community at the different places of business that she went to. The finest times in Anne’s life were spent traveling with her daughter Katie and singing to her grandson RJ. Anne was a devoted mother and Grammie who loved spending time with her family. Reading, creating, and volunteering, especially with shelter animals (she had acquired four rescue dogs in the past few years), were some of her favorite activities.
In addition, her family created a lot of lovely memories while vacationing in York Beach, Maine. Her loved ones will never forget her warm nature, infectious enthusiasm, and selfless nature. Her father had passed away before Anne was born. She will be remembered fondly for all time by her devoted family, which includes her daughter Kathleen, whose husband Ross Freund resides in Saint Johns, Florida, as well as her cherished grandson Ross James Freund.
In addition, she is survived by her mother, Loys Center, of Springfield, as well as her sisters Kathy and Carol, both of Springfield, and Carol and her husband, Paul Brodeur, of Agawam. Anne is also survived by her cherished nephew John and niece Lauren, as well as her nephew Michael. There will be no calling hours; however, family and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service that will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 11:00 am at Saint Mary’s Parish, which is located at 519 Longmeadow Street in Longmeadow.
